John Denver is a popular artist and musician who has touched a lot of people through his music. A lot of them were inspired by Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. is a New Mexican born singer-songwriter who fell in adore with Colorado. Denver's songs that he sang about his home state inspired many visitors to Colorado. G. Brown of Colorado Music Hall of Fame, the hall's curator of fame said: "I don't believe there is another performer that embodies Colorado as John Denver." Denver was a member of the Hall of Fame as its the first member in 2011. Today he personifies the state to people around the world. On my trips I've encountered people who are from New Zealand or the other side. If you inform that you're from Colorado The first thing they say are Oh John Denver. Brown explained. Take Me Home Country Roads written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief time as a folk musician which was Denver's first Top 10 solo hit. Danoff originally wrote it with Johnny Cash's music in mind, but Denver knew from the first time he heard early versions that the song was going to be an instant popular. After performing the song in Washington D.C. to a large audience, Denver recorded it just days later.
